Many pro sports athletes are happy to supply autographed memorabilia for supporters if you request them nicely in the mail. Obviously, players are busy and do not like to be bothered face-to-face, but if you send a request to the person in care of his team, you will often get an autograph in the mail as your reply. You can usually ask a player to autograph anything at all, including a piece of memorabilia, if you want. All you need to do is send a courteous request to the player in care of his team's mailing address. It is possible to usually discover that on the team's Website. Regardless of whether you're requesting an autograph on a sheet of paper or asking your favorite NBA player to sign a basketball, you'll want to include return postage. If all you need is a signed letter, sending a self-addressed stamped envelope will probably be enough. If you are sending a jersey or basketball, you will want to send the item insured, with delivery confirmation and make sure to include the necessary return postage to have the item returned to you in the same way. You would not think it likely that players would sign autographs in this manner, but a majority of players are all too very happy to do it in their spare time. The majority of players are well aware that without fans, they wouldn't have careers. As a result, they're more than willing to sign autographs for their followers, provided that the requests are courteous and they will not make any uncommon demands on the player. Accumulating sports memorabilia is both fun and interesting. It doesn't have to be pricey. |
